This list of Web career resources has been abstracted from
the Peace Corps Career T.R.A.C.K. (Transitions, Readjustment, Assistance, Connections, and
Know-How), one of the best Federal compilations of such resources.
Because many of the resources focus on multiple aspects of
planning careers and finding jobs, there is some duplication of sites in the sections. To
go directly to a section, click on one of the sections titles listed below.
- The Riley Guide:
Employment Opportunities and Job Resources on the Internet. One of the best sites on
the Internet for job seekers. Includes information on how to job search on the Internet,
resume databases, information on international job searches and job opportunities,
employer information, self-employment, volunteer opportunities and much more.
- Business Job
Finder. Contains solid information about employers and career
opportunities in business.
- Career Magazine. Articles, career links and job search guidance. Contains job openings, employer
profiles and a free resume bank.
- Career Mosaic. Valuable career information and good links to employers and additional sites of
interest. Also contains job listings.
- JobWeb.
Information on career planning, career fairs nationwide, job search and industry
information and job listings.
- Job Trak.
Focuses on career exploration and job search resources. Access to various career planning
and development resources, including an interactive Myers-Briggs test, a complete on-line
career planning manual (from George Washington University), and an online resume service.
It also contains a salary converter to help the job seeker identify the cost of living
differences between cities.

Exploration Link. Provides access to information on various
occupations including agriculture, biological sciences, business, education and social
work, environmental, government, health, international, law, media, nonprofit and social
sciences and humanities.
- The Salary
Calculator. Allows you to compare salaries between two different
cities in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico. The cost-of-living information is updated
quarterly.
- On-Line Career Center. Job announcements, resume information as well as links to helpful sites for
women and minorities.
- America's Job Bank. Lists more than 800 employers in all sectors, including business. This service
links the 1,800 state Employment Service offices and contains information on approximately
250,000 jobs.
- Career Web. Search the job listings by
category and location or by employer.
- Career Mosaic. Contains numerous job listings in various fields, employer listings, a special
section on health care, and has connections to international jobs.
- Online Career.
Allows you to search for jobs by (2 or three newspapers) sections dedicated to
medical/healthcare and jobs in academe.
- E-Span. Allows you to customize your job search by key words, company names,
geographical areas and education levels. Also contains a salary calculator to help you
determine the cost-of-living differences in a new city.
- NationJob.
Lists thousands of jobs as well as company profiles. Search for a job by indicating your
areas of preference as well as educational background, or choose to view all jobs

business.
- Wall Street
Careers. Contains a smaller listing of jobs, mostly in
technology, as well as a career guide to Wall Street.
- MedSearch.

Lists more than 100,000 jobs from more than 20 newspapers including The Boston Globe,

corporations providing the most opportunities for Hispanics. Also has a "yellow
